DX-GE5 Basic Camera Setup

Fully charge and insert Li-Ion battery (included with camera), insert a formatted SDHC memory card up

to 16GB capacity. If the card has not been formatted in the DX-GE5, it can be formatted from the menu,

see below.

Please note that the following setup options are recommended for underwater camera use. Land

shooting may require the user to change some settings or as they prefer.

Experimentation and education is the key to success.

Please consult user manual for additional camera features and specifications.

Turn camera power on and press Mode, select Underwater Picture Mode, click OK. Press Menu button

to enter the settings menu, the default screen will show Photo Setup 1.

To toggle use the circular function buttons for L/R/Up/Down.

After you reach the bottom of each screen press down to advance to the next setup screen.

Format Memory Format SD card as desired (Doing so will erase existing data)

LCD Brightness 80-100% (allows for better contrast u/w, but uses more battery)

Power Saver LCD Off: 1 min.; Camera Off: 3 min.
